CEWH’S OPERATIONS AND BUSINESS PROCESSES REVIEW

Dr Neil Byron led a review panel established by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH) to evaluate the CEWH’s operation and business processes. The CEWH operates in partnership with other water holders and managers of planned environmental water, river managers and infrastructure operators (usually formal and long term), and with regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) bodies, landholders and community groups (usually ad hoc and less formal). The review conducted over two phases included both an internally-focused assessment and a second externally-focused phase which revealed widespread and broad-based recognition that the CEWH’s partnerships are contributing to the restoration of the ecological health of the Murray-Darling Basin.
