Quentin Grafton

Quentin is Professor of Economics and Director of the Centre for Water Economics, Environment and Policy (CWEEP) at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He is a specialist in natural resource economics, and in water, energy and fisheries in particular. He also has a wide range of expertise in economic modelling, risk and decision-making.

He was formerly the Chief Economist and Foundation Executive Director of the Australian Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics (2011-2013). Quentin has also Chaired or served on several important panels on behalf of the Australian or State governments.

Over the past 20 years he has consulted for many government and multinational organisations including the World Bank and the OECD.

Quentin has provided economic advice to decision makers in a range of countries including the United States, Canada, France, Japan, United Kingdom, South Africa, India, Vietnam and New Zealand.
